The winter lockdown was an odd one for us as I’m sure it was for many. Through what would normally be a busy time for us helping our lovely clients sort out prints and wall art in time for Christmas presents it was weirdly quiet. Time for some lockdown photography.

It did however give us time to finally photograph our own dogs!

Basil was a little super star and got himself a couple of modelling jobs in London. While he was away on set Bells got to be the centre of attention for a while. Which she adored!! In fact I think she was slightly upset that he came back!

To make her feel extra special we took her out to our favourite woods!

We didn’t take Basil out for a little while after Bells shoot. We have had a lot of rain this winter! So finding a good dry day close to the most recent grooming appointment was tricky, as about as tricky as keeping one sable spaniel clean and mud free. He does love to wallow in a muddy puddle!

The best day presented itself in February when we got snow! If you ever get chance to book a shoot in the snow, do it! You will not regret it! The beautiful white snow and the soft winter sun makes for stunning images.

Have a look at our blog post on why book a winter photo shoot to see more example of why we love dog and equine photography in autumn and winter. Never underestimate what you can achieve with lockdown photography.
